Water Project Well Underway

BOREX and El Wells companies have been in the village drilling for water veins.  After three attempts, water was found at a depth of 80 metres.
Next steps are water capacity and quality tests, as the existing borehole in the area is contaminated with lead.
Not only will our school have a constant supply of water, but also the villagers will have easier access to clean water, and will no longer have to walk kilometres to fetch water.

ZESCO Completes Power Connection

After waiting for over eight months, we have finally got power in our school, the cantine and our finished teacher's house.  This is a breakthrough for us and we are delighted.  Thank you to our sponsors for all their assistance.

Fundraising Event with Colleagues and Pupils of the RFS e.V.

Every year in October, we get our baking gloves on and spend the weekend outside our school, in Regensburg, selling all our delicacies.

This year we managed to raise €1450.  50% of this money has been donated to the local safehouse for women, and the other half will be put towards our continuing projects.

Thanks to everyone who helped.

The Headman of Farao - our beloved Uncle Tuta, aka Welington Farao

Without Tuta's support, we would have no land to realise our dream with. We have his                                                      continued support and thank his generosity.

ZESCO the only power company in Zambia finally arrives at our school to connect us to the power supply and provide power to the villagers of Farao.

Our Finished School Canteen

Situated directly left to the school.  Warm meals for each of our pupils will be                                      provided here daily. Often children go days without a warm meal or clean water.

Tables, benches, chairs, cutlery, plates, cups have all been ordered so we can open in                                                               September when the new school term starts.

The kitchen and storeroom area, cooking utensils and shelves are on the way. An outdoor kitchen will also be constructed for the event that our power supply fails, so we can guarantee that the children eat something nutricious every day without fail.We are so happy to report that our school canteen has been completed. We will be producing our own maize flour in the future and our school garden for vegetables, fruit and animals ,like chickens and goats is in planning, Additionally,we will be buying other supplies from local farmers.
