Teachers' Houses Progress May 2012

Work is moving forward in Farao and we are getting closer to finally completing the project.  Nevertheless, we still desperately need financial support in order to finish.  Chairwoman, Claire Taylor and Wolfgang Voegele are traveling to village in August for three and a half weeks in order to help with construction, as well as teach English to children and women in the area.

Our next stage of completion is underway and the foundations for our three teachers' houses is being laid.  We require an additional €24.000 to complete the project, so please help us in our endevours.  We have almost reached our target, and with your help, we can achieve this soon!

Primary School Completed April 2012

Our primary school building has finally reached completion after many months of fundraising and hardwork.  We are very pleased about this progress and wish to thank all of our members and people who have supported us, not only financially, but also with their ideas and creativity.  In order to be able to open the school, we are required to build three teachers' houses to accomodate the staff who will be teaching there in the future.  To date the cost per house is estimated at about €8,000 (building materials, excluding transport and labour costs), and so we still need to raise about another €25,000 to be able to finalise the whole project.

We would like to appeal to you to continue supporting us, so that the school can finally be opened, which in turn will open up many possibilities for the children in this area.  Please help us! Thank you!

Primary School Building Nears Completion

The main school building is almost complete.  After doors and windows have been fitted, the paintwork will commence.  The next stage of the project is to build three teachers's houses to provide accomodation for the teachers who will work there.  We still require about €20.000 in order to realise this, so please help us by becoming a member or making a donation!
